To begin, we all want to know How to Make Money Online, and one of the most effective ways I’ve discovered is through blogging. In this article, I’ll show you how to learn How to Make Money Blogging by explaining how combining the techniques I’ve gathered from all over the internet helps me make money every day. Second, because I don’t have one, I’m not trying to sell you my latest “Get Rich Quick” scheme. Each eBook you read will contain a wealth of information that will undoubtedly assist you in learning the secrets of How to Make Money Online. I’ll only tell you which of the hundreds of books available you SHOULD read if you want to make a lot of money.
To set up and start all of my blogs, I follow a 10-step process.
Later, I’ll give you a list of the top ten resources that I use and recommend to anyone interested in making a lot of money online. When people first start blogging, one of the most important aspects they seem to overlook is the fact that their blog must contain information that people want to read.
Many bloggers are looking through closed eyes in this regard, and if you read 50 blogs, you’ll notice that the majority of them will claim to know How to Make Money with Blogs when all they really tell you is where they went on vacation or how many cars they own.
Are you ready to discover How to Make Money Through Blogging?
If you answered yes, continue reading to learn how to make money from your blog. I’m not going to tell you how to write your blog; that’s up to you; instead, I’m going to tell you about the 10 ways I make money online. It is entirely up to you whether or not to use these techniques.
Step 1: Select a Topic
Turn off your computer, grab a pen and paper, and find a comfortable spot where you can relax while remaining focused (if you are just starting out this step can be a pain because we all want to know How to Make Money Online and we want to know how to make it NOW). Consider a topic that interests you and write it down (this will help you stay motivated to try instead of giving up after a day or two), but make sure it is also something that other people are interested in. I come up with ideas for topics by using MetaSpy to see what people are looking for, Ask IQ to see what’s popular, and VRE Toolbar to see how many people search for the topic (this is also useful later on to get traffic). Make a list of your top five keywords; you’ll want to use them in your blog later.
Step 2: Start Writing Your Blog
Find and start a blog on the internet. Blogger is my preferred blogging platform, but WordPress and Movable Type are also popular options. All of the information you need to set up your blog can be found in the programme you use to gather data. Make your own content, make it unique, and make it educational. This is one of the most important aspects of learning How to Make Money from Blogs. The keywords you wrote down in Step 1 must be included in the content of your blog. Avoid overusing these because it sends out negative signals to search engines, which is the exact opposite of what you want.
Step 3: Perform a Google search.
Sign up for Google Adsense and paste the code into your blog’s margin. You can add text or image links to your ads to make them more personalised. I prefer text links only because they blend in better with your blog and don’t distract from the information. Google Adsense is unlikely to make you a millionaire, but it is an easy way to make a small amount of money quickly.
If you want to track where your visitors come from, whether it’s direct hits or search engine results, I recommend using Google Analytics, and you can get all the help you need setting it up from within the programme.
You should also submit your website to Google’s index.
Step 4: Locate a product to sell
You can skip this step if you don’t want to sell anything and are satisfied with the income generated by Google Adsense. You should join an affiliate programme if you want to maximise your income and truly learn How to Make Money with Blogs. ClickBank and Commission Junction are two affiliate programmes that I recommend. Everything from office furniture, pet supplies, movies, and clothing to PC games, diet tips, and audio software can be sold.
Whatever programme you join will assist you in putting the code into your blog, but make sure you do it correctly or you will not be able to make money from your visitors. W3Schools HTML tutorial is a great place to start if you don’t know how to edit HTML.
Step 5: Bookmarking on social media
Word of mouth is the best form of advertising, but social bookmarking is a close second. You’ll want to make it as simple as possible for people to do this. OnlyWire and SocialMarker are two social bookmarking sites that I use and recommend for people to share their favourite bookmarks or websites with others in their online community.
I would not recommend adding your own links to these services, but you should allow visitors to your website to do so.
Writing an Article is the sixth step.
Whether your blog is about a specific product, such as an MP3 player you’re promoting, or it’s just about providing information, I recommend writing an article or a review about it. Most article directories require articles to be at least 500 words long, so I would follow this rule when writing to ensure your article is accepted.
Submit your article to any of the hundreds that are available. I personally use EzineArticles, Article Dashboard, Amazines.com, isnare, and SearchWarp, among other top article directories. I also use Article Submitter, a handy piece of software that will submit your articles to over 600 article directories, saving you time and allowing you to focus on writing your blogs.
Step 7: Ping It As Hard As You Can
Pinging is what you do when you add new information to your blog and want to notify the blog directories about it. When you update your blog, some blog providers will automatically send out pings, but to be safe, you should also do it manually. PING ONLY WHEN YOU UPDATE.
I use a couple of Ping sites that will simultaneously send pings to multiple blog directories. PingMyBlog would be my first port of call, and if that site was unavailable, I’d use Ping-o-matic. Remember to ping only when you update, or you risk being blacklisted, which is bad.
Step 8: Answers and Forums on Yahoo!
Using the people you want to target is one of the simplest ways to get targeted visitors to your blog. I recommend that you join at LEAST one forum in the topic you’re writing about, and don’t just jump in and start posting comments hoping that people will notice your blog; they won’t.
The key is to include a link to your blog in your signature and to actively participate in the forum by posting relevant topics and initiating debates. The more you post, the more your link will appear, and the more useful information you provide, the more likely someone will click your link.
Yahoo! Answers is similar to forums, but it has the added benefit of being viewed by thousands of people every day. If you don’t already have a Yahoo! account, create one, then log in and search for questions related to your blog’s topic, answering them thoroughly. You can then add a link to your blog, and if you answer well, you may earn not only a point or two on Yahoo!, but also a visitor to your blog.
Step 9: Keep Your Blog Up to Date
This can be accomplished in a number of ways. One is to add new reviews or content to your blog; if you do this, I recommend updating every couple of days. This keeps the search engines happy, as they enjoy seeing new and unique content.
Adding RSS feeds to your blog is another way to keep the content fresh and updated. Make sure the feeds are relevant to your blog and provide useful information to visitors. Visitors to a World of Warcraft blog are unlikely to be interested in knitting feeds, are they?
Step 10 – Keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going,
The only way to make money blogging is to repeat steps 1 through 10.
Step 11 (Optional):
Give your visitors an easy way to sign up for updates or information if you have your own product or newsletter. This allows you to contact the visitor again with additional useful information or products to sell.
If you follow the steps above, making money online is simple.
Some important things to keep in mind so that you don’t get discouraged with your blog are that you won’t become a millionaire overnight; it takes time and effort. Stick with it if you’re serious about learning How to Make Money with Blogs, and you’ll eventually have an Ah-Ha moment. This is when things begin to fall into place and you realise, Ah-Ha, that’s how they do it. It’s possible that your time will come sooner than you think.
